"All greatness is achieved while performing outside your comfort zone"

Dear Students,
Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, while envisioning India of 2020 had observed “Spirit of Inquiry, Creativity, entrepreneurial and moral leadership are the capabilities central to nation building in a democracy. Educators should develop in our children these capacities and make them autonomous learners who are self directed and self controlled. “I am extremely pleased to see that this institution has been founded with this sole objective of providing the facility of higher education to the poor, rural and backward students; and equipping them to get ready for the competitive examinations. The management has a well developed perspective plan and is adopting systematic strategies to get the desired results.
Quality has become the defining element in higher Education in the 21st century. All the countries are gearing up to provide quality education to large numbers at an affordable cost. Quality not only makes education socially relevant, but is also a defining element. Therefore, we find students striving for quality so that they can thrive in the life to come. Quality enhancement is a continuous process where in one has to identify and set up goals and bench marks, put in steady efforts to bring in positive and desirable changes.
The word ‘education’ comes from a Latin word ‘educe’ which means to learn or ‘nourish’. We all are here to inculcate the best practices that are around us. There are thousands of definitions on ‘education’ but one that appealed me the most is a short definition given by Swami Vivekananda, wherein he says that “Education is nothing but moral, spiritual and intellectual development. ” There is an old Sanskrit Sloka that Speaks of attainments of education. The Sloka runs thus:
which means education can protect you like a mother, look after your interests like a father, take care of your health and body like a wife, can bestow wealth and fame upon you like Goddess Lakshmi and what is not possible with the help of education? Just like a Kalpalatha creeper, it can give you each and everything in the world. So, one can be blessed by education, provided we are loyal and honest to it.
So, dear students now it is high time to swear that we are going to work with one goal and determination as envisaged by Tennyson in ‘Ulysses’– “To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield”; and make the optimum use of our potentials to make this nation great. The real progress of any nation is decided by the educated youths.
Best Wishes.
Dr. Vilas B. Dhone
